Chargers Volleyball 2017
Hello Chargers Volleyball Alumni and Friends! The 2017 Volleyball season is underway and we are excited about the progress we have made so far!
Along with four new faces added to our team this year, the gym will have a new look as well. The court in Charger Gym has been named after former Head Coach and Director of Athletics, Debbie Chin, to commemorate her numerous contributions to the success of Chargers Athletics as a whole, and the Women’s Volleyball program. Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 30th for the court dedication prior to our Volleyball match at 1pm, reception to follow.
As we look forward to the coming season, we would like to thank you for the support you have shown since your days donning the Chargers uniform. We have a few goals this season, and this is where we need your help!
One of our goals this season, as always, is to not only participate in the NCAA Division II East Region Championship Tournament, but also to put ourselves in position both mentally and physically to win the tournament and advance to the Elite 8. In addition to our pre-season training, one way we can help to prepare ourselves to reach this goal is by traveling to play tough competition during the early season. That’s where we need your help.
In just 10-days, we will open the 2017 season at the University of Tampa against some top 20 teams. Participation in a tournament like this will challenge us, giving us an opportunity to see where we are early on and set goals throughout the rest of the season. A trip like that is made possible through fundraising efforts to cover the cost of airfare, transportation, and housing during the trip.
You can help us to reach our goal by making your donation here today. There are various great volleyball skills giving levels, so pick one that suits you!
Thank you in advance and we look forward to your continued support of the Chargers Volleyball tradition and we hope to see you at the court dedication ceremony on September 30th!
